Winning Pick-5 and Pick-6 Lotto Strategy

The key to successful Pick-5 and Pick-6 Lotto playing is reducing the variable field, which is the actual field of numbers in your State game, down to a more manageable number. This may sound like an understatement, but it is actually the most universally overlooked aspect among many would-be winners. Too much emphasis has, in the past, been placed on boxing and wheeling large groups of numbers, at great expense, and with minimal coverage. By reducing the numbers field to between ten and twelve numbers, cost-effective systems can be employed which offer the player excellent levels of coverage. Through the use of well-designed systems, this idea of field reduction becomes a feasible way to achieve profitability in your playing.

There are many excellent books on the market dealing with the art of wheeling your numbers. The most popular of these books are offered by Gail Howard. Although I would be the first to recommend these wheeling systems, it is important to understand that they do not pick the numbers for you. A wheeling system is designed to allow you to play your own chosen numbers for a predetermined level of coverage. If you are playing the wrong numbers, no wheeling system in the world is going to help you. As of this writing, 40 people have won Lotto Jackpots using the Gail Howard wheeling systems. However, they were all playing different numbers, their own numbers, and the wheels which they used simply allowed them to play more than just 5 or 6 numbers. Most of the Lottery systems you will find on this site are designed to give you the actual numbers to play for any given drawing. They also include wheeling systems which offer you specific levels of coverage and prize guarantees for those numbers. This way, if 20 people in the same state are using the same Steve Player system for a particular drawing, they will all be playing the same numbers. Consequently, when our systems pick a winning Jackpot combination, everyone using the system wins the Jackpot.

In the Pick-5 and Pick-6 Lotto formats, more so than in the Daily Numbers games, the use of charts, graphs and proven formulations becomes essential. Here are a few of the more important aspects which a successful Lotto player would keep track of:

  1. How many times each number has appeared both on a long-term and a short-term basis.
  2. How long it has been since any individual digit was drawn.
  3. How many individual digits were drawn from any number of pre-established criteria ranges.
  4. The overall frequency with which individual numbers are repeated.
  5. The frequency with which consecutive numbers such as 20-21 or 21-22-23 are drawn.
  6. The activity of tandem sets of numbers (PAIRS - 12-13).
  7. The activity of individual numbers based on ball rotations.

An approach which I have used with great success is to separate the Lotto numbers into groups. These groups can be comprised of any significant arrangement which you are able to keep track of. For instance, in a 40 number game, we can separate the numbers into four groups of ten numbers each: 1 thru 10, 11 thru 20, 21 thru 30 and 31 thru 40. These groups can then be analyzed and their activity charted. This is a very basic example, and this grouping approach can be used with an endless array of criteria, forming groups of many different sizes. You can even use multiple evaluations for compound analysis. Many states use a system of ROTATION, in which the balls are loaded into the selection machines in a predetermined order. There may be 4 or 8 of these predetermined orders (rotations) and they can each be charted and tracked separately. Using the guidelines which I have listed, you can give your numbers points according to each analysis. If you have five different charts, and all five indicate that the same number or numbers are overdue, then the odds of these numbers being drawn is greatly increased. Of course, using a structured system that has been extensively tested and has proven itself to produce results is your best bet. A Steve Player Lotto system will supply you with all of the charts and formulas you will need as well as detailed instructions that can make the entire process of using a system simple and enjoyable, and most importantly, very profitable!!!

Did you know that you can increase the amount of your winnings in the LOTTO games by 50% or more? It's true, and it is also very easy.

Since Lotto is a pari-mutuel game in most states, the dollar value of matching 3, 4 or 5 numbers correctly is directly determined by how many other players have also matched the same numbers correctly. The more players that win, the lower the prize for each player. Did you know that you can actually adjust your playing methods to insure that when you win you will win a larger prize? This is done by avoiding the use of too many calendar numbers; those numbers from 01 to 31 which correspond to people's birthdays. As a general rule, the more numbers under 32 which appear in any given drawing, the lower the prize amounts. Before you fill out your bet slips, check to see how many of your numbers are calendar numbers. If you are playing too many, then replace some of them with numbers higher than 31. Here is a classic example of this lesson. In the New York 6/54 Lotto game, the numbers 01-09-23-26-33-42 were drawn on December 21st. This set contains four calendar numbers (01-09-23-26). The payoff for matching 5 out of 6 winning numbers for that drawing was $1,698.00. The very next week, in the same game, the numbers 28-30-36-44-51-53 were drawn. This set contains only two calendar numbers and the prize payoff for matching 5 out of 6 winning numbers was $5,765.00!!! That's three and a half times more money for beating the same odds; a substantial difference in my book! If you were to look at the recent payoff amounts for lower prizes in your game you would see that this simple concept holds true in virtually every pari-mutuel Lotto game.

Little tricks like this and the use of proven systems and formulas are what separate the casual Lotto player from a true systems player. As with anything else, the more you know about something, the better you will become at it.
