WHICH GAME SHOULD I PLAY???

    With so many different games offered by the various State Lotteries, players often ask me which of these is the best game to play. In order to answer that question properly, we have to first determine what our goal is. Do we want to win a few dollars while experiencing the excitement and challenge of taking part in the games, do we want to learn how to consistently win money with a proven system, or are we attempting to land a life changing Jackpot? For the most part, winning a life altering Jackpot is usually a once in a lifetime occurrence, while winning regularly at the lower odds games can be a continuing source of both fun and extra revenue. Let's take a look at the different games available to Lottery players citing the pros and cons of each format.

    PICK-3 / WIN-3 / PLAY-3: This is the most basic of the game formats available, its roots going back to the 3 digit street games which gained popularity in the early part of the last century. In the Pick-3 game the player is required to choose three digits in either Boxed (any order) or Straight (exact order) form. A winning $1.00 boxed wager returns a national average of either $80.00 if all three digits are different (123), or $160.00 if there is a repeated digit (112).  A winning $1.00 straight wager returns a national average of $500.00. This is one of the most simple games to not only play and win, but also to track and analyze the past results of.   There are a total of 1,000 possible numbers in the Pick-3 game in straight form, therefore the overall odds of winning this game in straight form are 1000 to 1. Of these 1,000 possible straight numbers, there are 120 possible unique boxed numbers that do not contain a repeated digit (123) and the odds of winning on one of these numbers is 167 to 1. There are also 90 possible unique boxed numbers that do contain a repeated digit (112) and the odds of winning on one of these numbers is 333 to 1. 

    Playing boxed numbers exclusively in the Pick-3 game is the easiest way to win the Lottery simply because this approach affords the player the best overall odds. FREE PICK-3 BOXING SYSTEMS - I recommend this approach to not only people who are new to the games, but also to players who are using one of my proven systems to track the numbers and formulate their own selections. Once you get good at picking winning boxed numbers, then you can move on to playing the Pick-3 game in straight form. However, in my opinion, the next logical step would be to explore the world of playing Pick-4 numbers in boxed form, a format which I consider to be the best of all available Lottery games in the USA.

    PICK-4 / WIN-4 / PLAY-4: This game is very similar to the Pick-3 format with the only difference being that the player is now required to choose four digits in either boxed (any order) or straight (exact order) form. A winning $1.00 boxed wager returns a national average of either $200.00 if all four digits are different (1234), $400.00 if there is one repeated digit (1123), $800.00 if there are two repeated digits (1122) or $1,200.00 if one of the digits are repeated three times (1112). A winning $1.00 straight wager returns a national average of $5000.00. This game is hands down my favorite of all the available game formats. Not only is it easy to win in boxed form, but it is also the most fun and rewarding game format to track and analyze the past results of.    There are a total of 10,000 possible numbers in the Pick-4 game in straight form, therefore the overall odds of winning this game in straight form are 10,000 to 1. Of these 10,000 possible straight numbers, there are 210 possible unique boxed numbers that do not contain a repeated digit (1234) and the odds of winning on one of these numbers is 417 to 1. There are 360 possible unique boxed numbers that contain one repeated digit (1123) and the odds of winning on one of these numbers is 833 to 1. There are 45 possible unique boxed numbers that contain two repeated digits (1122) and the odds of winning on one of these numbers is 1667 to 1. Finally, there are 90 possible unique boxed numbers that contain three repeated digits (1112) and the odds of winning on one of these numbers is 2500 to 1.

    Playing boxed numbers exclusively in the Pick-4 game is the second easiest way to win the Lottery, bested only by the Pick-3 boxed approach. FREE PICK-3 & 4 BOXING SYSTEMS - My favorite group of numbers in this game are those with just one repeated digit (1123). Tracking and analyzing these types of numbers allows you to look not only at the overall field of ten available digits, but also the repeated digits themselves.     Playing the Pick-4 game is well suited to players who are using one of my many proven systems to track the previously drawn numbers and formulate their own selections on a daily basis. For some reason, having one extra digit to work with, when compared with the Pick-3 game, makes the challenge and process of winning far more intuitive. When tracking the Pick-4 game using either my PRIME LINE or MONEY MAP system, the activity of the digits actually comes to life right before your eyes. This makes the process of choosing the winning numbers for the upcoming drawing much easier, not to mention how much fun it is to know that you are about to beat the Lottery. 

    PICK-5 / PLAY-5 / FANTASY-5: This is the first group of the true Lotto games available in most States. The distinction here is that it does not matter what order the numbers are drawn in or played in. A standard Pick-5 game requires the player to select five numbers from a field of anywhere from 30 to 59 total numbers. Depending on the particular State and game format being played, you can win by matching 2, 3, 4 or 5 of the numbers drawn, with a 5 number match indicating a Jackpot win. Some of the Pick-5 games offer a fixed Jackpot amount which never changes while other games offer a rolling or pari-mutuel Jackpot. A rolling Jackpot continues to increase with each drawing in which there is no Jackpot winner. Sometimes this can create a situation where the Jackpot climbs to a level that is actually greater than the actual odds of winning, making this one of the best available values of all games. 

    The odds of winning the Jackpot in a Pick-5 game are entirely dependent on the amount of possible numbers in the game. For example, the odds of winning a Jackpot in a Pick-5 game that draws from a field of 30 numbers is 142,506 to 1, while the odds of winning a Jackpot in a Pick-5 game that draws from a field of 52 numbers is 2,598,960 to 1; a rather significant difference! Obviously, with all of the different Pick-5 formats available, it is important to choose a game that offers the largest possible Jackpot with the least amount of numbers in the field. Once again, the rolling Jackpot games are usually the best values here, especially if you only play when the Jackpot has climbed to a high level. 

    Playing the Pick-5 game is a much longer odds proposition than playing the Pick-3 or Pick-4 games. Jackpots in this game usually range from $50,000.00 to $250,000.00, and the lower tier prizes for correctly choosing 2, 3 or 4 of the winning numbers can also vary greatly. If you are considering playing this game with serious hopes of winning a Jackpot, or at least making a consistent profit, then I recommend using one of my proven systems such as the PAYDAY-5 to track and select your numbers and then employing a structured wheeling system like the MILLENNIUM WHEEL to play your selections. A wheeling system allows you to select more than just five numbers, and it then arranges those selections into mathematically balanced groups of ready-to-play five number combinations. Obviously this requires a larger wagering budget than simply playing one set of five numbers for $1.00. Taking a serious shot at winning the Pick-5 games should be reserved for somewhat seasoned Lottery players, and I highly recommend a strong background in the Pick-3 and Pick-4 games before you make any large or long term investment in the realm of the Pick-5 game universe. Finally, the required investment of time to properly track, analyze and make successful selections in the Pick-5 game is substantially greater than the time investment required to consistently win the Pick-3 or Pick-4 games. Once again, this is why I suggest that you work your way up to a serious assault on the Pick-5 games.   

    PICK-6 / PLAY-6 / LOTTO: This is the standard format Lotto game that has been around since the 1970's. Once again, in the Pick-6 game it does not matter what order the numbers are drawn in or played in. A standard Pick-6 game requires the player to select six numbers from a field of anywhere from 30 to 59 total numbers with odds ranging from 593,775 to 1 all the way up to 45,057,474 to 1. Depending on the particular State and game format, you can win by matching 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the numbers drawn, with a 6 number match indicating a Jackpot win. Some Pick-6 Lotto games also draw a bonus or supplemental number which creates even more lower tier payout variations. Virtually all of the Pick-6 Lotto games played in this country offer a rolling or pari-mutuel Jackpot structure. That means that the Jackpot starts out at a set level and then continues to increase with each drawing in which there is no Jackpot winner.

    The Pick-6 game Jackpot is often times large enough to create a life changing event for the winner. This wonderful attribute of course comes at a cost, namely much higher odds. I know of many Pro Players who make a consistent profit year after year playing the Pick-6 games even though they have never won a Jackpot. On the other hand, I also know many players who wager one or two dollars each week who have indeed won a Pick-6 Jackpot. Once again, the greater the amount of numbers to choose from in the Pick-6 game, the higher the odds and consequently, the higher the Jackpot. Also take into account the number of drawings that have not produced a Jackpot winner, as this will also have a direct effect on the size of the current Jackpot. I recommend that only very serious and seasoned players, or Pro Players, take on the high odds Pick-6 game. There is nothing wrong with spending a few dollars each week and hoping for the best, but if you plan to wage a serious assault on this game, and are willing and able to place broad coverage wagers, then be sure that you take the time to learn everything about the inherent patterns and trends in this game and that you use a proven system and sound wheeling systems. 

    POWERBALL / MEGA MILLIONS / PICK-5 HYBRID GAMES: These are the crown jewels of the Lottery game kingdom. What we have here are the super high odds games that are heralded by mega Jackpots. To win one of these hybrids, the player must correctly choose five numbers from a field of between 30 and 75 numbers, and then correctly choose an additional number from a separate field of between 6 and 35 numbers. I call this the "Double Whammy" of all Lottery games. With several Jackpots already posted in excess of $500 Million, and one exceeding $1 Billion, these games are the worst places you could ever choose to donate your wagering dollars. These games are cash cows for the Lottery, designed to produce large Jackpots that they can advertise in order to sell more tickets.

    On the other hand, these games are often irresistible...their giant Jackpots being the stuff that dreams are made of. If you want to lay your head on the pillow at night and think about how your life would change with a few hundred million extra dollars in your pocket, then go ahead and take a chance. I do not in any way recommend that you throw your last twenty bucks into the pot and hope that all of your problems will be solved. They probably will not, as the odds are just to high. In my opinion, these games should only be played in a serious context by Pro Players who have amassed considerable wagering budgets from other games that they have learned to win consistently. And even in that scenario, most of these players are focused on the second prize level which can be as high as several Million dollars. Unless you are relying entirely on luck to win, you need a large bankroll to take a serious shot at these games even when using a mathematically derived system. If you are a member of a Lottery Pool that can afford to invest a large stake every week and is using a structured analysis method and coverage matrix, then you may be on the right track. However, even then, this is still a long shot game that is heavily stacked against the average player. If you you cannot resist the giant JACKPOTS and want to arm yourself with the best winning system, then I recommend taking a look at the LOTTERY WIZARD winning system. 

    SUMMARY: If you are a beginner, then I would direct you to the Pick-3 game and tell you to focus entirely on boxed wagers. From there you can move on to boxed wagers in the Pick-4 game. What's next? Pick-3 straight wagers of course. Once you master the game at that level, you may want to venture into the world of the Pick-5 games and all of the doors that wheeling systems will open up to you. And then? If you have been making money all along your path of Lottery apprenticeship, you may want to try your hand at the straight Pick-4 numbers that pay you with $5,000.00 checks each time you win. Or perhaps you may fancy a pilgrimage towards the shimmering neon Jackpots orbiting around the Pick-6 universe. "Okay Steve, now that I have done all of this, can I finally move on to the Powerball and Mega Millions games?" Sure, go right ahead, throw a few of the dollars that you have won into these games, but please, don't take residency there! It's a dream world, not a place to make a consistent profit. Once you take the time to learn the proper methods, this is a place full of smiling faces; players reveling in the joy of the challenge and the sweet smell of victory. It is our job to figure out what that PIN number will be today, because this ATM machine never runs out of cash!
